Movie News: Nicolas Cage to Star as Big-Game Hunter in 'Primal'; Disney Sets New 'Aladdin' Release Date

He'll portray a big-game hunter who has gathered a collection of deadly and exotic animals for a zoo and is heading home on a shipping freighter, not realizing that a political assassin is also on board and plotting chaos by releasing the animals. Disney: Right after the announcement that Star Wars: Episode 9 would be delayed, Disney announced several other release date changes. The two most noteworthy titles are the live-action Aladdin, starring Will Smith (above in Collateral Beauty), which will move from December 2019 to May 24, 2019, while the not yet titled movie about Christopher Robin, starring Ewan McGregor, has now been set for August 3, 2018. Robotech: Jason Fuchs, whose credits include Pan and Wonder Woman (above), has been hired to write the screenplay for Robotech. Andy Muschietti (It) is set to direct the big-screen adaptation of a Japanese animated television series about giant robots created from alien technology discovered on Earth and then utilized to defend the planet against alien invasions.
